Things to note:Ā Our Olive Tree Sponsorship is a digital sponsorship to support the growth of a physical olive tree planted in ORO SICANI Estate, located in the remote Sicani Mountains of Sicily, Italy. You will not receive any olive trees in the mail!Ā
The date you purchase your Olive Tree Sponsorship is the start date of its 12-month duration. Should we have your requested quantity of olive trees available for sponsoring, this will be reserved immediately upon checkout. The GPS coordinates of each sponsored olive tree, however, will be allocated manually and will be visible in your ORO SICANI account shortly thereafter.

We're in Sicilia, baby! ORO SICANI Estate is based in the south-western province of Agrigento, with the towns of Cianciana, Alessandria della Rocca, and Bivona all nearby. Weāre approximately 1,550 metres above sea level, with Monte Sara and Monte Cavallo our most notable neighbours. The Platani River flows through the valleys of our region and out to the Mediterranean Sea, which weāre very fortunateĀ to see from ORO SICANI Estate.
The sun is Sicilyās friend and we experience an abundance of sunny, often humid days, and chilly, rainy winters that are perfect for olive tree planting!Ā

Not only are you battling cost of living increases and climate change-induced water shortages, thereās also fewer producers because the younger generation is leaving the small, rural towns to try to earn a better living in larger cities.Ā

āSustainability from the soil upā is our motto. We champion regenerative farming principles and optimise every single component of our operations to be as environmentally-minded as possible. Because it is possible, it just requires more thought, sometimes more cost, and a lot of creativity.Ā
