What the Oliva is Amici Prima?
Amici Prima is our ridiculously rare Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO), cold-extracted from uncommon olive varietals native to our remote region: the Sicani Mountains of Sicily, Italy. Amici Prima is a taste you can't imitate.
As new gen EVOO producers, Amici Prima is our celebration of the incomparable lands in our local territory. Every year here in the Sicani Mountains is so unique, and Sicily’s formidable, ever-evolving weather creates such interesting flavours within the olives, and the EVOO in turn.

We created Amici Prima Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil to capture and share with you the essence of each 12-month harvest cycle. These small batch releases are limited edition because each harvest year's EVOO cannot be recreated; it will have nuanced tasting notes from the different climate conditions and the different percentages of olive varietals that are cold-extracted into that particular year's EVOO.
The predominant olive varietals within Amici Prima include: Nocellara del Belice (fruity, almost creamy, nutty notes), Biancolilla (light, fruity, herbaceous), Cerasuola (bold, spicy bitterness), and Piricuddara varietals (grassy with mild pepperiness), which all contribute their distinctive character to this luxurious EVOO.
Historically, it is quite difficult to even access the olives from our region because the locals tend to cold-extract their own harvest and distribute the EVOO locally. Quite frankly, sometimes this is because farm life is tough enough, then dealing with the paperwork of international shipments can be too much, even with today's connectivity.
And this is why we're here: so this extraordinary EVOO is seen and felt and experienced and appreciated for its quality and specialness. We are here to be the bridge and bring the liquid gold-like EVOO from our lands and those of our vicini (neighbours) directly into your hands.
